Every volume of the series usually starts as a series of thumbnail sketches, that eventually work their way into script form. This packet mostly consists of countless notes and napkin sketches. Middle of the night revelations that turn into a piece of dialogue or a much needed plot point.
And this packet of notes usually stays with me until the book is shipped, alas many great ideas seem to come in at the 11th hour.
