The first couple of animated projects I'd worked on required some sort of storyboarding. Basically a rough visual breakdown of scenes and cue points. I didn't have slightest clue how this worked, so, I initially bought actual large card stock sheets and broke them down into panels. These would basically adorn my walls for the duration of production and act as my visual guide.

I think I'd seen some old Disney Studio photos of the animators doing just that. Creating large boards to put on the walls while production was underway. I ultimately learned that this was overkill and stuck to digital roughs that could easily be cut into a video animatic.
