One of the better creative method books I think I've ever read!
It's unfortunately been wrangled in with the myriad of 'entrepreneur' reading lists, but I'd say for any creative sort, this is a must read.
'Pressfield' centers his ideas around a concept known as 'the resistance' , which, he frames to represent any and all of the forces that prevent you from 'making' something. Whether it's writing, building, art of any sort, once you see this concept in the world, you'll never NOT see it. The 'resistance' can come in the form of your parent s/ loved one's having doubts about your ventures, or, more commonly, that voice in your head telling you 'I'm not talented enough'.
Can't recommend it enough! So much so that my studio has a policy that if you HAVEN'T read this, if you email me your address, I'll send a free copy to you!
